Itinerary:

Day 01: Machu Picchu Day Trip

In the morning, our team will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to a nearby railway station, either Poroy (30 minutes from Cusco) or Ollantaytambo (1 hour and 40 minutes from Cusco). Boarding a train, you’ll embark on a 1 hour and 45-minute journey, witnessing breathtaking, ever-changing landscapes. Passing through lush fields and vibrant villages nestled in the foothills of the Andes, you’ll be treated to remarkable views of mountains and the majestic Urubamba River flowing through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a town just below Machu Picchu, our representative will welcome you at the railway station and guide you to a bus stop. Board a shuttle bus that ascends to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu along a zigzagging path, a journey of approximately 25 minutes.

In Machu Picchu, your expert tour guide will unveil the key attractions of this ancient Incan site, including the main square, the Sun Temple, Intiwatana (Sun Clock), the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Royal Inca Cemetery. This guided tour spans about 2.5 hours, followed by leisure time for you to explore the complex and capture stunning panoramic photos of Machu Picchu. Don’t forget your camera to immortalize your visit to «One of the New 7 Wonders of the World»!

After savoring the site, take a shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included in the package) at one of the charming restaurants offering both traditional Andean and international cuisine. Post-lunch, you have the option to visit the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes or the Museum of the Site (admission not included in the package).

In the afternoon, board a return train to Ollantaytambo (or alternatively, Poroy). Our driver will be waiting at the railway station to transfer you back to Cusco.
