Day 01: Cusco to Machu Picchu

Your Machu Picchu Overnight Tour begins with a convenient transfer from your hotel to the railway station. Choose between departure points at Poroy (30 minutes from Cusco) or Ollantaytambo (1 hour and 40 minutes from Cusco). Embark on a train journey that spans approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, offering breathtaking views of ever-changing landscapes, from lush fields to vibrant villages nestled at the foothills of the Andes. The highlight of the journey includes spectacular vistas of towering mountains and the majestic Urubamba River winding through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a charming town nestled below Machu Picchu, our representative will warmly welcome you at the railway station and accompany you to your hotel. While the first day is dedicated to settling into your accommodation, you’ll have the freedom to explore Aguas Calientes. Day 02: Machu Picchu to Cusco

On the second day of your 2-day Machu Picchu tour, an early start awaits you. After a quick transfer to the bus station, you’ll board a shuttle bus that will ascend to the archaeological marvel of Machu Picchu, navigating a zigzagging path for approximately 25 minutes.

Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, your knowledgeable Tour Guide will lead you through the key attractions of this ancient Incan site. Explore the main square, the Sun Temple, Intiwatana (Sun Clock), the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Royal Incas Cemetery during the insightful guided tour, which spans about 2 and a half hours. Following this, seize the opportunity to ascend either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views of Machu Picchu. Once you’ve immersed yourself in the splendor of Machu Picchu, descend via shuttle bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included in the package) at one of the delightful restaurants offering both traditional Andean and international cuisine. In the afternoon, embark on a train journey back to Ollantaytambo (alternatively to Poroy), where our driver awaits you in front of the railway station.
